The SPCM1936 Cordless Electric Lawn Mower from Black & Decker is a powerful 19-Inch, 36-Volt self-propelled mower which features a removable battery. With a 36-Volt electric motor, the SPCM1936 contains sufficient power to cut lawns up to 1/3 acre.

The polymer deck gives a 19-Inch wide cut and allows the user to switch between mulching, bagging or bag discharging at the push of a button. The speed of the self-propelled system can also be easily adjusted according to the individual’s desired mowing pace.

All four wheels can be raised or lowered simultaneously to alter the cutting height, at the touch of a button. The battery is removable which allows recharging it to be done at a most convenient place, whether inside or outside the mower. The SPCM1936 measures 36.6 x 22.9 x 20.5 inches and weighs 72 pounds.

Buyer Reviews

Well put together and easily adjustable, with all controls at your finger tips… Buyers surveyed were particularly impressed with the manoeuvrability and lightweight feel of this mower. The curved ergonomic handle and easily accessed preference settings really is built with the user in mind.

Whilst the mower is running, there is very little noise pollution produced and the mulching, discharging and bagging functions all work very well. In comparison to corded lawn mowers, this design is easier to use and there is no need to plan the cutting path in advance to avoid running over the cord.

The removable battery gives users the option, if the lawn is larger, to swap for an already charged battery part way through.

Considering maintenance in the long term; because the 19-Inch deck is made from polymer, it is very easy to clean and will not rust. The SPCM1936 can work on various conditions, for instance if the grass is wet or very tall.

Some features which users have disliked include the fact that the adjustable deck does not allow for a lower than average cuts. Also that, in certain situations, the self-propelled system does not slow down enough and that the change from one setting to another is not immediate, which means that reaching an optimum speed takes a few seconds.

Some buyers noted that the charging port is complicated to reach and to put into the socket. Users would like to see the safety key function in a more accessible and visible position.

Have your say.
