Providing a maximum surge output of 9,375 watts (7,500 rated watts), the Generac 5943 GP7500E is a transportable power supply suitable for various uses. The unit features locking fold-down handles and a wheel kit for maximum mobility, making the generator ideal for domestic household appliances during power shortages/extreme weather conditions and also for supplying power tools at the jobsite. The steel fuel tank has an incorporated fuel gauge and the power panel is equipped with an hour meter with maintenance resets. Included with the purchase of the Generac 5943 GP7500E is engine oil, an oil funnel, a plug-In battery charger and instruction sheets. The electric start has been designed for efficient and quick start-up for those even with limited prior knowledge of generators.

Users have been impressed with the impressive 14 hours of runtime from a single 10 gallon tank of gas ensuring appliances can be supported during domestic blackouts. Customers have also commented on the low level noise emission as silenced by an inbuilt muffler, which seems significantly quieter than other competitor gas fuelled portable generators on the market. Novice users of generators have been satisfied with the ease of assemblage and simplicity of the instruction manual in order to set-up.

Some criticisms of the Generac 5943 GP7500E have included the fact that the electric connections powering the battery are badly designed as when tightening the nuts it may be potentially easy to connect the positive to the negative. Other users have also reported upon turning on the fuel valve that fuel spilled out of the carburettor onto the motor and generator, causing a fire hazard. It seems there may be poor quality control or a design fault with regard to the fuel valve as the gas spillages seem to be the main criticism of the GP7500E. Coupled with this, users have also expressed dissatisfaction with the customer service they received from Generac as being below par and not helpful in solving the problems they had with their unit.

On the whole, the reviews of the Generac 5943 GP7500E have been mostly favourable with the fact that the unit is good value for money in comparison to other similar portable generator units on the market and the consistency of the performance being the main selling points. Although some customers seemed to have had bad experiences with fuel spillages, these reports have been reasonably uncommon otherwise providing a favourable review of the unit.
