Mike Lee’s 20 Day Persuasion Review
What is it?
Mike Lee’s How To Be An Expert Persuader In 20 Days Or Less is a 418 page self help book of persuasion techniques which claim to make you more successful in your career, relationships and social life. Elements covered include body language, mind control techniques and conversational hypnosis.
Mike Lee’s How To Be An Expert Persuader In 20 Days Or Less has on the whole received positive reviews. Compared to similar books on the market customers mostly found the book densely rich with information and examples covering all principle aspects of life. At 418 pages, the book is considerably longer than many competitors but most customers saw this as great value for money. Customers commented that the book was easy to follow and well organized over 20 chapters. The organizational element also meant that readers could dip back in on the sections most relevant to their lives. The length of the book however did put some people off. Mike Lee advises that people read 21 pages a day for 20 days but some people who were not regular readers found this a challenge to keep up with. If you’re a regular reader, 21 pages is quite achievable and you may even have time to increase this in order to finish the book quicker. However, if you’re not a regular reader, the length is something to bear in mind.
In terms of the actual content in the book, people seemed to be in agreement that although some of the techniques might be things you’re already familiar with, the convenience of having everything in one place to motivate you is a huge plus. One customer review on Amazon said that the guide changed his outlook on life. The sample stories and examples were also highly appreciated, as they helped to solidify for readers why certain techniques got positive results. For example, when discussing the importance of personal presentation Lee uses the example of airhostesses, employed by airlines because they have a personable appearance which in turn helps build customer relationships.
Customers also really enjoyed the guides style of writing. Lee never encourages you to be someone your not, or try and persuade people into doing anything they too cannot benefit from. He acknowledges that some things simply can’t be changed, such as someone who does not eat pork for religious reasons. The guide also encourages honesty and trust as foundations for persuasion so many customers appreciated the ethical approach. This is not a manipulation guide, it rather shows people how to harnass their confidence and believability into positive results.
Is it a scam?
Are you going to become an expert persuader in 20 days or less? This really depends on a few factors: how quickly you read the book and whether you choose to apply the information. By reading this book, you’re not suddenly going to be able to read people’s mind and hypnotise them into doing the things you want. It’s fair to say that a lot of the book is common sense, using tried and tested methods of body language, trigger phrases, confidence and self belief in order to achieve positivity in your life. These techniques are well documented and used and advocated by many authorities. Non-verbal communication is well documented by scientists, including Charles Darwin who explored the subject in The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals. Harvard Law School for example even has a program on negotiation, which looks at body language, or non-verbal communication.
The official website states that the books author, Mike Lee, is a certified NLP Practitioner, life coach and hypnotist. He is also the co-author of 101 Great Ways To Improve Your Life Vol.3. A quick google search does not bring up any more information on Mike Lee, but nowhere could I find anything to suggest he is not a legitimate person either.
