Worx WG782 Review
The WG782 battery-powered lawn mower from WORX features a 14-inch cutting deck, powerful 24-volt battery, and IntelliCutai??? technology. The innovative technology, exclusive to WORX mowers; IntelliCut can alter the torque depending on the conditions so tough, dense grass is no problem.
The 3-in-1 system offers a variety of cutting and disposing options; mulching, bagging or rear discharging. The expertly designed blades for the mulching mode, finely chop up the grass clippings for equal spreading over the lawn, acting as a natural fertilizer.
Unlike gas or oil-powered mowers, this WG782 mower has an easy and quick start-up at the push of a button. Depending on the condition, the 24-volt battery can cut up to 10,000 square feet (up to 40 minutes of running time) on a single charge. For the desired finish on the lawn, the cut height can be adjusted from 1.8 to 3.3 inches.
The small and lightweight design of this mower is a huge advantage. It is easy to push and maneuver around tight corners, helped by relatively narrow 14-inch cutting deck. This also means that it is small enough to store in compact spaces (the handle also folds down).
Because there is no cord to manage, you do not need to worry about running it over or planning a cutting path in advance. Many reviewers have mentioned that they have been impressed with the performance and quietness, claiming that it is exactly as advertised, even when running on the ‘Power’ mode.
Users were particularly pleased with the mulching capability of the mower, as it does not throw out clumps of grass clippings like other machines can do. The mower arrives securely packaged and the assembly is relatively straightforward. The only real maintenance advised is to clean the machine right after use and charge up the battery between each mowing.
For environmentally-conscious gardeners, purchasing this battery-powered mower is a simple way to reduce your carbon footprint because, particularly well-suited to smaller yards (0.5-2 acreage).
Do note that if your yard is slightly sloped and requires the Power mode more often; the battery will not last as long and may require charging part way through one run – we would not recommend this product for larger yards, or yards with uneven landscaping because of the lightweight construction.
