Worx WG789 Review
The WG789 cordless, self-propelled lawn mower from WORX features a 19-Inch deck and is powered by a 36-Volt battery. The battery is removable for convenient charging, in any location.
The mower is fitted with state-of-the-art technologies from WORX including PaceSetter and IntelliCut systems. The self-propelled PaceSetter is fitted to adjust to the individual pace of the user and the IntelliCut technology allows you to increase and decrease the torque, depending on the conditions.
The powerful battery allows the mower to last up to 45 minutes, or 12,500 square feet on a single charge, conditional of the environment and IntelliCut setting. There is a convenient battery life indicator to warn you when it is running low and needs recharging.
The cutting deck gives a 19-inch wide cut, fitting into tight corners and along close boundaries. The cutting height is adjustable from 1.5 to 3.5 inches to give you the desired finish on your lawn, at the touch of a button.
The battery-powered WG789 mower has an easy and reliable start-up with push-button and lever. The 3-in-1 deck system allows for a variety of cutting and disposal options; mulching, bagging or discharging. The collecting bag has a capacity of 1.6 bushels.
According to numerous reviews from buyers of this WORX lawn mower, the performance and ease of operation is superior to many competitive mowers. The cut is precise and the blades are efficient so completing your entire lawn does not take long.
The overall quality of construction and design has highly impressed; every element feels durable and well manufactured. For this reason, many customers believe this makes a good investment for your lawn care.
Technologies such as the self-propeller and the cut height adjustment are easy to operate and work very effectively, for the most part. The mulching option works very well, users were impressed with how finely the grass clippings are cut before they are evenly distributed onto the lawn.
The assembly is straightforward and the manual is easy to follow so you can have the mower running in approximately 15 minutes out of the box.
Some problems that buyers have faced with this WORX lawn mower include; using a lithium battery rather than a lead one to increase runtime and make it lighter. Also, charging takes a relatively long time so you cannot always charge quickly if the battery runs out part way through mowing.
Overall, a good mower and well-suited to smaller lawns. We scored the WG789 4 out of a possible 5 stars, check the Amazon link to the right to compare the latest prices.
